If the horse starts a shorter price than the opening quote, give the horse 1 point
(The reason for this is that the connections of the horse or the professional
punters are putting their money on the horse).
The more points the horse has the better chance it is has over it rivals the better chance it is. Only bet when you are confident the horse has 7 Points or more.

I have studied your 12 Selection Points and they give a really good grounding for selecting winners.
I follow a lot of Alan Robinson's rides in NSW country - and every so often he brings home a good priced outsider - Pike in WA does the same - Can jockeys really influence an average horses ability?
