Doomben Race 4-4 MURPHY'S CREEK 3rd $1.40
Given the run of the race by Scott, running 5th one out and cruized upto them
on the turn. However didn't find much and lost ground to run 3rd. (Stewards Report)
MURPHY'S CREEK (S. Galloway) was tightened for room on jumping away between PARAJA
(A. Spinks) and BUCK'S DREAM (M. Heagney), which shifted out.
Doomben Race 5-10 CHILLI MAGIC unplaced
Got back to 2nd last in a true run race, made steady ground, and never really looked a threat. dissapointing.
(Stewards Report) When questioned concerning the disappointing performance of CHILLI MAGIC, S. Seamer stated that the mare settled further back in the field than anticipated, however failed to respond to his riding in the straight. He added he was unable to provide any excuse for the poor performance of CHILLI MAGIC. A post-race veterinary examination of CHILLI MAGIC failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Warwick Farm Race 3-3 KISHKAT (Special) 1st $2.90-$1.80
Jumped straight to the front and stayed there, drawing away for a convincing win.Hooray
Warwick Farm Race 5-7 KICK 'N CHASE 3rd 2.20
Sat worse than midfiel and 3 wide all the way, was 5 & 6 wide on the turn, however
only plugged to the line winner was way too good.
Doomben Race 3-5 SOMMERSEA DRIVE unplaced
unuseually got back to second last in afast pace, came to the outside in the
straight to make his run. He got to the line ok but not good enough. (Stewards Report)
When questioned as to the reason for SOMMERSEA DRIVE being further back in the field than anticipated, B. Pengelly stated that the horse jumped away awkwardly and despite his efforts, the gelding could not muster the necessary pace to obtain a position near the leaders. B. Pengelly added that he felt that SOMMERSEA DRIVE was not entirely suited by the pattern of today's race. Trainer T. Miller reported that, in his opinion, the horse had come to the end of its preparation and would now be spelled.
Doomben Race 7-3 HAPPY FINISH (Roughie)unplaced
Lead and went hard early scott gave him a breather mid-race and he kicked strong on the turn.
However weakened late early effort must have took it's toll.
