18/02/08 Post Mortem



Welcome to the post mortem, this is a weekly report
on my selections and how I seen the race unfold.


13/02/08


Sandown Race 3-6 BENSON 1st #2.60- $1.30


Got back to 5th early in slow run race, Corey got off the fence at the right


time getting into the clear upon straightening, and kidded to BENSON all the


way down the straight, very cool ride.


Sandown Race 7-2 SURFSIDE CHRISTMAS unplaced


Got back to 2ND last in slow run race, Corey came to the outside in the straight,


however left his run too late.


Randwick Race 4-4 SOUTHERLY IMPACT(roughie) 3rd $1.70


Given a nice ride by Shane, 4th the fence,in slow run race, got the inside run


on the turn fort very strongly , however got beaten a head by a head.


Doomben Race 8-5 BAREENA 1st $3.40-$1.50


Began well and Brad drove her forward from wide ally, got running 4th but 3 wide


Seamed to be under pressure on the turn,however when she got into the clear


and Brad got to work on her she found plenty.

Eagle Farm Race 2-2 MILLERS WHEEL 2ND $2.10


Got back worse than midfield with cover, Improved on the turn into a challenging


position, but couldn't over power winner



Eagle Farm Race 4-5 GRAND LADDIE(roughie)unplaced


Got back in moderate pace, 3 wide and pulling,wouldn't settle for Jason, made


ground on the turn and weakened late, needs 1600 in fast tempo.


Mooney Valley Race 8-7 ILLINOIS GIRL 2ND $1.80


Got a nice run just behind the speed, moved up to win on straightening,


however couldn't get passed the leader, beaten a head.


Randwick Race 7-6 BOBADAH 2ND $1.70


Positioned just behind the speed but wide even wider on the turn,


looked to have the race in his keep,when overhauled by stable mate.


Beaten a head.


Randwick Race 9-1 POSADAS 1ST $2.90-$1.40


went forward on leader bias track and sat 2ND outside the leader, moved


wide on the turn fort on doggedly with big weight, and proved too good.


Newcastle Race 5-2 PYRAMIDS 1ST $3.50-$1.50


Good ride by Jeff very underrated Jockey,3rd the fence on settling, and eased to


the outside on the point of the turn. Hit the front at the 350m mark, however


wanted to run around through greenness, and Jeff kept his mind on the job with his


whip and drew away at the Finnish.

KILMORE Race 4 (1) REJEUNERATE unplaced


Got running 4th in very fast pace, cruised up to them on the turn, but was very one


paced and was swamped late.
TAREE Race 3 (2) GLIDEAWAY BAY 2ND $1.30
Given a nice ride by Scott, 3RD the fence, made his move at the 600m, staying


near the fence, kept wacking away but overhauled by stable mate.
TAREE Race 5 (1) LANGFIBIAN unplaced


Show good speed early being second until the 400m, and was the first horse betten,


he's better than that.
