Rosehill Race 2-3 SMASHING unplaced

Got further back than I expected and they went slow in front, had trouble getting

a clear run and when he got out stopped badly.(see stewards report)Crafty Belle and

Smashing bumped on a number of occasions soon after jumping. When questioned

N Rawiller stated that Smashing never travelled well at any stage of the event and when initially

pressured in the straight did not let down and shortened stride noticeably near the 100m and as a

consequence he eased the gelding down fearing that something may have been amiss. A post race

veterinary examination of Smashing revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer Ms A

Robinson was advised that Smashing would now incur the mandatory three months ban from racing

(AR53A).
