The Melbourne Cup

The Melbourne Cup is one of the world's most challenging horse races and is the richest race in Australia,and it is the highlight of the Spring Racing Carnival. The race is run over 3,200 metres and is a handicapped race, this means the better horse carries the most weight . The distance and the handicap ensure that the Melbourne Cup is a horse race in which the occasional punter really has no chance of picking the winner.

Four years ago I had a race fall, which left me with injury’s that took over 12 months to heal, in that time I put on a lot of weight, 15Kg's in fact. Not being able to return to my career as a Professional jockey, where I rode 860 winners for stables such as Gai Waterhouse, Bart and Anthony Cummings, Peter Moody, Guy Walters and Bobby Thompson just to name a few. I also won Multiple Jockey Premierships and won over 20 feature races throughout Queensland and New South Wales and on three occasions rode four winners on the program.I'm NOT stating this to impress you, but to impress upon you the experience and connections I have within the industry. Over the last four years I have proved a very profitable way to make an income.Take a look at what my members have to say about the quality of my service TESTIMONIALS

THE RIDERS IN THE STAND

There’s some that ride the robbo style, and bump at every stride;
While others sit along way back, to get a longer ride.
There’s some that ride like sailors do, with legs, and arms, and teeth;
And some that ride on horse’s neck, and some ride underneath.

But all the finest horsemen out-the men to beat the band-
You’ll find amongst the crowd that ride their races in the stand.
They’ll say, “He had the race in hand, and lost it in the straight”.
They’ll show how Godby came too soon, and barden came to late.
They’ll say Chevalley lost his nerve, and Regan lost his head;
They’ll tell how one was “livened up” and something else was “dead”-

In fact, the race was never run on sea, or sky, or land,
But what you’d get it better done by riders in the stand.

The rule holds good in everything in life’s uncertain fight ;
You’ll find the winner can’t go wrong, the loser can’t go right.
You ride a slashing race, and lose-by one and all you’re banned!
Ride like a bag of flour, and win-they’ll cheer you in the stand.

13-10-08 Post Mortem
Doomben Race 6-2 RAPID BABE Unplaced
Ridden quite by Glen and brought to the outside on the turn, made steady ground and never accelerated like she can, only beaten .5 of a lenght to run fourth.

Ballarat Race 6-3 O'REILLY'S CLOCK unplaced

Tactics played a big part of the outcome in this race. Olley got back as expected and when D.Dunn went to the front and put on the breaks, it made it impossible for O'reilly's Clock to make up the distance, we won't drop off this fellow just yet.

Ballarat Race 7-6 MOSSBEMAD unplaced

Jumped well and sat 2nd outside the lead, found a little but not enough. seemed to be a leader bias at Ballarat today.

Rosehill Race 3-1 JUDGE ME NOT 2nd $1.40
Another great ride by Glen, got back fifth the fence, in a muddling pace, when they sprinted at the 500m Glen got right up the fence and looked the winner. Just nudged out in a four way go.
Rosehill Race 5-7 HEXAMETER unplaced
Looked like he was going to get a good run but ended up 3 wide witout cover moved up on turn and never finished it off disapointing.(Stewards Report) When questioned, R Quinn, rider of Hexameter, stated althoughhe was trapped wide, he had cover early and the mare travelled well, but could not quicken over the final 600m. Stable representative Mr B Widdup was asked to report if there is anything amiss with Hexameter subsequent to the race. A post race veterinary examination of Hexameter did not reveal any abnormalities.
Rosehill Race 8-4 BOBADAH & 13 BLESSUS Quinella 1st and unplaced
Blessus had the run of the race 3rd the fence and got the split upon straightening, shot away and won well, However Bobadah, was ridden well and when asked to extend in the straight only plodded and didn't finish off as expected.
Eagle Farm Race 6-17 ON THE FRIDGE 1st $3.10-$1.70
Nicely positioned 5th one off the fence in a strong pace, and came wide to get into better going. Hit the lines stong to win convincingly.
Eagle Farm Race 7-8 GHETTO BLASTER (Special)3rd $1.30
Bundeled start and was back in the field pulling 3 wide and pushed his way out on the turn, however winner had got away.(Stewards Report) GHETTO BLASTER (R. McMahon) jumped away awkwardly,GHETTO BLASTER overraced in the early stages.,GHETTO BLASTER shifted out rounding the home turn in an endeavour to obtain clear running and in doing so forced MR HORNBLOWER and STYLISH QUALO (C. Reith) wider on the track.
Flemington Race 4-5 GAMBLE ME (Roughie) 3rd $2.00
Got well back in moderate speed, and saved ground inside the eventual winner and fort gamely down the straight, however no match for Willander.

I am 43 years old Ex- Jockey, being a professional Jockey for 25 years, I tryed lots of fat loss diets, in the end I had to give up the saddle and my love of the racing game. However this product has me back on track and that's because traditional weight loss systems all result in the same problem – muscle loss "Have you ever asked yourself the question…Why is it so hard to lose weight" If you have, don’t be too hard on yourself - you’ve got plenty of company. A whopping 98% of people who try to lose weight FAIL in the long term. I'll be here to help you keep it off, with OsoLean
