Flemington Race 2-3 CAYMANS unplaced
Jumped OK went back worse than midfield, looked to be hanging out from the 600 meters and made ground on the turn.
Raced all over the place in the straight and didn't finish of, probably wasn't suited by the slow tempo.(Stewards Report)

Caymans raced wide without cover.Caymans hung out rounding the home turn.Caymans then wanted to lay in in the straight hampering Nato and to a lesser extent Grand Couture approaching the 300m.Inside the 200m Caymans shifted in again when struck with the whip.

Went forward from awkward ally and got trapped wide, with no cover. Pushed widest on the turn and looked to be on the wrong leg
did nothing in the straight.(Stewards Report)When questioned regarding the
performance of Rio Osa, J Parr stated he elected to go forward from his wide barrier, as he had
formed the view he would be able to obtain a position close to the rail. He added that when this did
not eventuate he was consequently trapped three wide until the 600m, where Rio Osa became
unbalanced after receiving a bump from Cruisy Lady, which shifted out around the heels of
Spectacular Bird. J Parr further stated that when Cajou also shifted out he was caught five wide
around the turn, which further unbalanced Rio Osa when it made contact with his hindquarter, but
nevertheless Rio Osa was somewhat disappointing in that it gave ground quickly in the straight.
