April 27th, 2009

22nd April, 2009

Doomben Race 4-8 MULTIRE MUSIC Unplaced
Sat second in a moderate speed and was given every chance to win by the apprentice, fort hard down the straight to just weaken over the last 50m.

Sandown Race 4-2 MEMORISE Unplaced

Eased back from the good ally to be running midfield, on the fence  in a solid pace, he got shuffled back near last on the turn. He got clear in plenty of time, however raced with his head in the air down the straight and never looked balanced. He finished off OK.

Sandown Race 6-4 TRUE TALES 2nd $1.30

Sat second from the wide alley and slowed the pace mid race, and dictated to the other runners. He was absolutely bolting at the 300m and shot away to a big break , when from out of nowhere he was grabbed on the line.

Randwick Race  1-1 ORTENSIA 2nd $1.10

Jumped in-front and eased back to 3rd and  given a nice trail behind the leaders eased into the clear on the turn and cantered up to them and looked all over a winner, when grabbed late.

Randwick Race  5-10 WHOBEGOTYOU Unplaced

Jumped well from a good ally and was closer today, midfield on the fence. He got all the inside runs from the 800m until the turn and joined the leader at the 300m. No sooner he got there he stopped, Very unusual for this horse he's better than that.

Eagle Farm Race 6-1 ROCKDALE Unplaced

Got a great run 5th in a fast speed, got pushed 3 deep at the 600m, made a dash at them but was short lived and was disappointing, had every chance.

Flemington Race 7-3 VIGOR 2nd $2.10

Got running midfield on the fence in a moderate speed, saved ground on the turn and was climbing all over them on the turn. Never seen daylight until the last 150m and flew to get second. Certainty beaten.....(Stewards Report) On straightening Vigor (NZ) and High Cee (NZ) ware held up for clear running until approaching the 200 metres.
