Mooney Valley Race 2-6 ITSTHEONE Unplaced

Got back to second last in a moderate speed and approaching the 600m was hard ridden and dropped right out. (Stewards Report) M Rodd was questioned regarding the performance of Itstheone (NZ) and he stated that after leaving the 800m when the pace quickened, Itstheone (NZ) was immediately under pressure and in his opinion had choked down and as a result he eased the gelding down prior to the home turn. The Club’s veterinary surgeon reported after the race that Itstheone (NZ) was suffering from mild respiratory distress and an elevated heart rate which in his opinion was consistent with the gelding choking down. Trainer Mr M Kavanagh advised that it was his intention to apply a tongue tie to the gelding and continue its preparation.

Mooney Valley Race 9-2 ROAD TO ROCK $2.40-$1.30

Damien give yourself a pat on the back, great ridding, Copy book ride 4th on out and summed up the speed well when made his run at the 600m and made the others chase him . Ridden a confident hands and heals to the line to win narrowly.

Randwick Race 4-2 RABBUKA Unplaced

Jumped well and lead in a moderate pace pressured a bit by hadaff, coming around the turn was under pressure and he was the first horse beaten. Very unusual for one of Gai's to stop like that.(Stewards Report) When questioned regarding regarding the performance of Rabbuka, App. D Ganderton stated that the gelding

travelled well early, but by the 600m he had some concerns when the gelding wasinclined to lay in and dropped the bit. He said that

Rabbuka was a beaten horse early inthe straight and, in his opinion, while it had established wet track form, it did not handle the going. A post race veterinary examination of Rabbuka did not reveal any abnormalities. Stable representative Ms T Rouse stated that Rabbuka had pleased the stable going into the race and the only explanation she could offer was the horse was taken on in the very early stages by Hadaaf. The inquiry into Rabbuka’s performance was adjourned so that a full veterinary examination might be conducted by the stable veterinarian.

Randwick Race 6-1 HOT DANISH (Best Bet)1st $1.80-$1.20

Jumped great and showed speed early, taken back to 5th 3 wide with no cover, in a slow run race. The leaders sprinted on the rise and left her having to dig deep, and she did. She's a great mare and we'll keep following her, she loves to win.
